Our accomplishments range from mediating violent gang wars in communities to helping transform rural and inner city children into productive citizens.

Memberhsip: Our Inducted members have become Rhodes Scholars, partners at prestigious firms such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, judges, lawyers, educators and service providers due to the outstanding character education they received through our program.

In an independent evaluation commissioned by the New York City Board of Education, The Council for Unity programs generated the following results :

  • 94% of participants graduate from high school
  • 96% of those attend college
  • 70% of participating school principals reported a decrease in violent crime in their schools
  • 100% of participants reported that Council for Unity has had a positive impact on their lives

Additional assessments reveal that not only did the program positively affect participants but entire school and community populations as well. Elected officials have released precinct figures indicating the flat lining of gang violence in schools utilizing the Council model.
